Description
Frosted Christmas Brownies are rich, fudgy brownies cut into triangles and decorated like Christmas trees and Santa hats using red, green, and white frosting. They’re easy to make using boxed mix or homemade, perfect for holiday parties, gifting, or festive family baking.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 boxes brownie mix (or double batch homemade brownies)
- 1–3 jars white frosting
- Red edible gel food coloring
- Green edible gel food coloring
- Edible gold stars
- White pearl sprinkles
- Icing bags
- Large star frosting tip (1M)
- Nonstick spray for pan
Instructions
- Preheat your oven according to the brownie mix instructions (typically 325–350°F). Spray a 9-inch springform pan with nonstick spray.
- Prepare the brownie batter using both boxes according to the package instructions. Pour into the pan.
- Bake for 40–50 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs. Let cool completely.
- Remove brownies from the pan and place on a cutting board. Slice into 8 equal triangles.
- Divide frosting into three bowls: leave one white, color one red, and one green using gel food coloring.
- Fill each color into separate piping bags fitted with a large star tip.
- Decorate triangles: green for trees (add pearl sprinkles and gold stars), red and white for Santa hats.
- Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to enjoy.
Notes
- Use gel coloring for bold, vibrant frosting without thinning.
- Let brownies cool fully before decorating.
- For clean cuts, chill brownies before slicing.
- Frosting holds best if piped just before serving.
- Store decorated brownies in a single layer to avoid smudging.
