This One-Pan Creamy Meat and Potato Skillet is a quick, hearty, and budget-friendly dinner made in just one pan. It features golden, tender potatoes, seasoned ground meat, and a rich, creamy sauce — perfect for busy weeknights and beginner cooks.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground meat (beef, turkey, chicken, or pork)
  • 12 small potatoes, diced
  • 1 can cream soup (cream of mushroom, chicken, or celery)
  • 3/4 cup milk (or mix of water and sour cream)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: shredded cheese, fresh herbs, or frozen veggies

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the ground meat and cook until fully browned, breaking it apart with a spoon. Drain excess grease if needed.
  3. Add the diced potatoes directly to the skillet and stir.
  4. Cook for 15–20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the potatoes are fork-tender. Add a splash of water and cover the pan if needed to steam.
  5. Stir in the cream soup and milk (or sour cream + water mixture).
  6. Mix well and simmer for 5 more minutes until hot and creamy.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Optional: Sprinkle shredded cheese on top and let it melt before serving.
