- 1/4 cup filtered water
- 1 chai tea bag
- 2 teaspoons granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup milk (any kind)
- Cinnamon (optional, for topping)
Instructions
- Bring 1/4 cup of filtered water to a boil and pour into a mug. Add the chai tea bag and let it steep for 5 minutes.
- Remove the tea bag and stir in 2 teaspoons of sugar until fully dissolved.
- In a small saucepan, heat 3/4 cup milk over medium heat until it begins to steam (do not boil).
- Whisk the milk vigorously or use a milk frother until foamy.
- Pour the steamed milk into the chai tea, reserving some foam. Stir gently to combine.
- Spoon the remaining foam on top and sprinkle with cinnamon if desired. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Reduce sugar to 1 teaspoon for a less sweet version.
- Use plant-based milk for a vegan alternative.
- Double the ingredients for a larger serving.
- Make it iced by chilling the tea concentrate and serving over ice with cold milk.
