Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons olive oil (or melted butter)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: Grated Parmesan cheese, red pepper flakes, fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Remove wilted leaves from the cabbage and slice it into 3/4-inch thick rounds (steaks).
  3. In a bowl, mix olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  4. Brush both sides of each cabbage steak with the seasoning mixture.
  5. Place cabbage steaks on the baking sheet, leaving space between each one.
  6. Roast in the oven for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway, until the edges are golden and crispy.
  7. Alternatively, air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 10-15 minutes, flipping halfway.
  8. Remove and garnish with optional toppings like Parmesan, red pepper flakes, or parsley.

  • For extra crispiness, increase roasting time by 5 minutes.
  • Use red cabbage for a colorful variation.
