- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- ¼ cup powdered sugar
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Blueberry Filling:
- 1 ½ cups fresh or frozen blueberries
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
For the Glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons blueberry juice (from mashed blueberries)
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
For Garnish:
- ¼ cup sliced almonds, toasted
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Dough
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
- Add warm milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract. Stir until a soft dough forms.
- Transfer to a floured surface and knead for about 8 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Step 2: Make the Blueberry Filling
- In a small saucepan, combine blueberries, sugar, cornstarch, and lemon zest.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring often, until the mixture thickens (about 5 minutes).
- Remove from heat and let cool completely.
Step 3: Prepare the Cheesecake Filling
- In a medium bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
Step 4: Assemble the Rolls
- Roll out the dough into a 14×9-inch rectangle.
- Spread the cheesecake filling evenly over the dough, followed by the blueberry filling.
- Roll the dough tightly from the long side into a log.
- Using a sharp knife, cut into 12 even rolls.
Step 5: Second Rise
- Arrange the rolls in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, leaving space between them.
- Cover with plastic wrap and let rise for 30 minutes.
Step 6: Bake the Rolls
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Bake the rolls for 20–25 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
Step 7: Make the Glaze & Garnish
- In a small bowl, whisk powdered sugar, blueberry juice, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Drizzle the glaze over the warm rolls.
- Sprinkle with toasted almonds and serve warm.
